Copy and Paste a Page or a Block

 

1/ Copy and Paste a Page

 

1. Choose the page you want to copy, search in the navigation tree the page of your choice. Once found, click on the picto  of the chosen page. Several options are available to you : Show, Disable, Edit ... To copy your page, click on "Page Actions" then on "Copy"  .

  

2. FIRST OPTION - Then click on the picto  of the page of your choice in the navigation tree. Several proposals are available to you : Show, Disable, Edit .... Click on "Page Actions" then "Paste into". This means that you will copy and paste your start page (the one from step 1.) into a subpage of the one selected now. After that TYPO3 propose you to rename your copy.

3. SECOND OPTION - Then click on the picto  of the page of your choice in the navigation tree. Several proposals are available to you : Show, Disable, Edit .... Click on "Page Actions" then "Paste after". This means that you will copy and paste your start page (the one in step 1.) after the page you chose in step 3.. After that TYPO3 propose you to rename your copy.

4.Your page has been duplicated (copied and pasted). The original page that you copied is visible, enabled picto  ), but for security the copy is however disabled by default ( picto  ), and therefore invisible on the online website. You will have to enable it manually to make it visible. Watch Tuto "Enable / Disable a Page"

 

 

2/ Copy and Paste a Block

 
 

1.To copy a block of a page, first you must be on the page of your choice. Then place the mouse on the block that you want to duplicate, and click on the first button  to access at the properties.

 

2. Next, you have several options available : Show, Edit, New ... To copy your block, click on "Copy"  .

 

3. Now you have to choose the location of the copy of your block. When you move the mouse between the blocks, TYPO3 propose you several buttons and possibilities. Once your location is chosen, click on the third button "Paste copy at this place"  to duplicate your block.

 

4. Your block has been duplicated (copied and pasted).
